You must obtain a permit from the fire department prior to burning. This permit must be picked up at the town offices

fire department headquarters 162 Main Street (Saturday mornings from 9
am till noon and on Tuesday nights during our training meetings
).
NO PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED OVER THE PHONE. YOU MUST APPLY IN PERSON
Application/Permits for the installation and/or alteration of gas or oil
fired heating units should be submitted by your licensed contractor.

Application/Permits for the installation and storage of flammable
liquids or gases should be submitted by your licensed contractor.

The inspection of solid fuel heating units such as wood, coal and
pellet stoves is the responsibility of the Building Inspector. (not the
fire department) Please address those requests to Mr. Lagodich
A list of the various inspection fees can be obtained at the Town
Hall, 65 Main Street.
Request for inspections can be made on-line by filling out the "contact us" portion of
this site or by calling the administrative number. Please include the type of inspection
required and a telephone number where you can be reached to schedule the
appointment.
